How long is the initial appointment?
Full sets are done in the initial appointment when we apply a full set of lashes. These range from 2.5-3 hours. (It is so relaxing and comfortable, time flies. Also, everyone loves a good lash nap on our comfy heated beds!)
How often do I have to come in for fills?
Fills are maintenance appointments. This depends on a few things such as: how many natural lashes you have, your natural shed cycle, and how well you care for your lashes (face sleepers tend to have to come more frequently) Most of our clients come for their fills every 3-4 weeks on average, but some come at 2, and some can push it to 5. The price ranges from $90-$115 dollars and it takes 1.5-2hrs.
Do you use mink or silk eyelash extensions?
Neither! Real mink and silk eyelash extensions are not only unsustainable, but they are expensive and cruel. 99% of eyelash extensions are made from a high-quality thermoplastic polyester called PBT. The term “mink” and “silk” are referring to the finishes of these products. “Mink” will have a softer taper and a more matte finish, giving you a more natural look, whereas “silk” is a deeper, darker black and tend to have a shinier finish. We use a Korean made lash, made up of a blended fibre, giving that deep dark, yet soft and matte black finish.
Do lashes damage my natural lashes?
If you are seeing a qualified technician, lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes! We see people come in with damaged lashes when they have seen a technician who has improperly applied lash extensions; we can advise on what is possible.
How often should I be taking breaks?
Once again, if you are seeing a technician who is properly trained and applying your lash extensions with precision and care, you don’t ever need to take breaks. Lash extensions are bonded to each individual eyelash, therefore, your lashes will grow and shed at their own pace.
What do I need to know before my appointment?
Please come to your appointment with no eye makeup on. Try to avoid caffeine before your appointment (caffeine causes our eyes to flutter and can make it hard to lie comfortably for long periods of time.)
Can I get my eyelashes wet?
Yes! Absolutely yes! As soon as you leave the studio with your beautiful set of eyelash extensions, you can swim, shower, wash your face, etc. The old myth of never getting your lashes wet is very outdated and is frowned upon today. We will send you home with an aftercare kit, this includes a foaming lash wash that we ask our clients to use daily.
Return/refund policy?
We do not offer refunds; however, we do offer all of our clients 72 hours to reach out and come in for a free touch-up or a complimentary removal if you are unsatisfied or have any issues with your lashes.
Cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens and sometimes you aren’t able to give as much notice as possible. However, all of the staff at Paradise Lash Lounge earn commission, therefore, if there is less than 24 hours’ notice for canceling or rescheduling an appointment, 50% of your missed appointment will be due at/before your next appointment.
What is a lift and tint?
Lift and tints are great options for someone who is looking for a more natural option, or who is looking for a service that is quicker and less frequent. Lift and tint is where we perm your natural lashes up around a silicone mold, and tint them using a brown or black tinting solution. Once the desired shape has been achieved, a nourishing solution is applied over the lash for protection against moisture loss. After about an hour, lashes are left with long-lasting volume, definition and curl – without having to use lash extensions or other products that require regular maintenance. This service will keep your lashes looking curled and mascara’d for 4-6 weeks. It’s a 30-minute appointment with minimal upkeep.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions can last for up to six weeks, depending on lash type and lifestyle. Regular lash maintenance, such as daily lash care or cleaning after activities that involve water, are important in order to make them last longer. Generally, lash fills could be done every one to two weeks if desired to maintain their look as your natural lashes shed over time.
Can I put mascara on eyelash extensions?
When it comes to lash extensions, mascara isn’t recommended. While some lash products may claim to be safe for lash extensions, this isn’t always the case. Waterproof mascara is especially risky to use and can cause your lashes to matt together or separate from the extension, shortening their lifespan. Using mascara between fills will create a buildup of makeup on your natural lashes (no matter how well you wash it off) and the next time you get your lashes filled, the extensions will bond to the makeup buildup, and therefore pop off with the makeup as well.
If you are getting eyelash extensions, steer clear of mascara.
